A designer by profession, Farah Jehanzeb khan has recently forayed into showbiz, becoming a success story. After hosting single episode of Dalda Ka Dasturkhuan,she co-hosted as an expert, the popular segment Kitchen Queen on TV One's morning transmission,Farah has also hosted the show  Picnic designed for kids which was aired every Saturday on the same channel. After having conducted these programs for many years, she is now seen hosting Food Afternoon with Farah aired on Geo TV. According to Farah, cooking come naturally to her," I have always been into cooking because my influences are varied. When it comes to food, my dadi belongs to Egyt,my mother is a Punjabi my father is from Sialkot and my husband is Pathan from Afghan lineage. So in short, I have experienced a varied array of cuisines. Cooking for the show was certainly an easy task since I had the confidence so much so,that my 18-minutes segment becomes so popular that it was stretched for a longer time period".

       For Farah Jehanzeb,the world of glitz and glamour is not new since she is also a designer and has been providing wardrobes to different shows on television, commenting on her new-found recognition as a host she says," To a certain extent I do identify with my status of being someone know. Before ,when I used to go out especially with my husband Jahanzeb Khan, who is a former film star and model, people would obviously  recognize him but not me. I was ,of course known among my clientele. But now the role had reversed. Being Know is not such a big deal but the biggest adulation is  when a mother comes up to me and says that because of me her young daughter has started taking interest in cooking ".
